This is a modification of a french rice dish. It is primarily flavored with onions.
Hardware:
Measuring cups and spoons
Small Saucepan
Rice Cooker
Spatula

1 cup long-grain brown rice
1/2 tablespoon Lite Olive Oil
1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Dried Parsley
1/2 tsp Lite salt by Morton Salt, Inc.
Software (Refrigerated Goods):
Refrigerator:
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
2 tsp Better Than Bouillon - Roasted Chicken
1 tsp Thyme, fresh
As much water is called for on the package to cook one cup of raw rice.
Freezer:
1/2 package (5 oz) Onions, unprepared, chopped, frozen
How to Prepare:
Add to the small saucepan:
1/2 tablespoon Lite Olive Oil
1/2 package (5 oz) Onions, unprepared, chopped, frozen
Heat while stirring regularly till the onions turn translucent and soften.
Add 1 tbsp Minced Garlic to the small saucepan, and cook it till the garlic smells fragrant, stirring constantly.
Wash the 1 cup long-grain brown rice with the Fine Sieve or strainer.
Add to the rice cooker:
2 tsp Better Than Bouillon - Roasted Chicken
1 tsp Thyme, fresh
Washed Rice
Onion and Garlic Mixture
1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Dried Parsley
1/2 tsp Lite salt by Morton Salt, Inc.
The amount of water specified on the package.
Stir with a rubber spatula or a plastic cooking spoon.
Set rice cooker to the brown rice setting and run it.
Rice needs to be served hot to be edible. If it was stored, it must be fully reheated and allowed to rest at a higher temperature or the starches will be crystalized and unpleasant to chew.
Serve as a base that you place other dishes atop of.
