Instructions
Note1: Can substitute 1 tsp Onion Powder 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder or 1 can mushrooms with good results. 1) If adding ground beef, brown beef with some salt & pepper in a non-stick 4 qt stock pot. Drain. 2) Add tomato paste. Wisk in water, 1 cup at a time. Add optional diced tomatoes, if desired. 3) Wisk in the remain ingredients including optional mushrooms, if fresh. Adjust the herbs and spices to suit your own taste. 4) Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5) Add optional mushrooms if using canned and allow to heat for 2-3 minutes.
