3 8 oz ham steaks (24oz)
¼ cup chopped onions
½ tbs butter
½ tbs olive oil
1.5 tbs cornstarch
1.5 tbs tomato paste
3 tbs dijon mustard
1 tbs spicy brown mustard
½ cup of apple juice
½ cup water
½ cup of 2% milk
1.5 tsp broth concentrate
2 tsp cider vinegar
Add oil and butter to a pan and heat
Saute chopped onion in the pan till translucent and softened
Brown the ham steaks in the pan on both sides.
Mix milk, mustards, and tomato paste and set aside.
Mix water juice, cider vinegar, corn starch, and broth concentrate and set aside.
Once steaks are browned, remove ham steaks from the pan.
Deglaze pan with the water and juice mixture, whisking the bottom. Heat while whisking till corn starch activates.
Remove pan from the heat and whisk in the milk, mustard, and tomato paste mixture till thoroughly combine. If serving, whisk over low heat till hot.
Cut steaks, serve with sauce over.
